Late last year, PLR posted this piece to our blog, which described the damage done by Hurricane Florence and stressed the importance of Homeowners Flood Insurance.

In 2017, a number of people were trapped in flooded areas and had to be rescued by city workers. Basement flooding, which can cause a significant amount of damage to a house, is also relatively common in the area.
