At PLR, we believe that no two people’s insurance needs are the same. Because of that, we start every new relationship with a conversation. We want to know about you: your work, your life, your family.

So, it’s only fair that we allow you the opportunity to get to know us. To that end, we’ll be periodically profiling PLR’s awesome staff. This week, we sat down with our Customer Service Representative, Amber Brown.

PLR: Can you give us a little bit of information on where you worked before PLR, as well as how you got started?

Amber Brown: I worked at a mortgage company before PLR Insurance, but all of my jobs have been service work and helping people. I went to college for Human Resources, so instead of working with employees, I am serving customers!

I started at PLR insurance because I knew people that worked here. In addition, my husband was already a customer at PLR, so I was getting quotes myself when I found out my friend from high school worked in the Tremont location.

PLR: What’s your life like outside of working for PLR?

AB: If I am not playing in makeup with my best friends, I am spending time with my husband and our families. We have 3 fur babies and three nephews. We also enjoy working on our house.

PLR: What’s your current job at PLR and what does it consist of? Can you tell me what a typical day looks like?

AB: I am a CSR at PLR and a typical day consists of paperwork and a lot of emails. I also answer questions about policies, billing, and coverage, which leads to me helping customers learn and understand their coverages! Lastly, I’m always making sure that the customers have the coverage they need at the best rate possible.

PLR: What’s your favorite thing about working for the insurance agency?

AB: I personally like it best when people can call and know they are getting the correct answer. People feel comfortable and know they can call us with questions. I think our job is important because we are doing our best to make sure the customer has what they need.

Something that always sticks out to me is when I am helping someone, and they send me a new customer to help or look at their current insurance. It’s a good feeling knowing we are doing our job!


PLR: What else would you like me to know about you and PLR Insurance?

AB: We try our hardest and give the best service possible. The best part of working at PLR is that our customers trust us!
